Stock Report
Stock value and quantities as of now, low stock alerts and dead stock.
The Stock Report shows what you have on hand right now and what it is worth.
NOTE
This report has no date picker. Quantities and values are a snapshot as of the moment you open it. Only Dead Stock looks back in time, and it has its own selector.
For the location selector and CSV export, see Reports.
Summary cards
- Total Stock Value: the value of everything in stock. Each item is valued at its quantity multiplied by its average cost at that location.
- Total Units: the total quantity in stock.
- Low / Out of Stock: how many items are listed under Low Stock Alerts.
- Dead Stock: how many items had no sales in the chosen window.
Stock Value by Category
Stock value for the eight largest categories. Items without a category are grouped as Uncategorized. The CSV export lists every category.
Value by Location
How the stock value is split across the selected locations.
Low Stock Alerts
Items that are running low, with their quantity and a Low or Out of stock label.
- If the item has units configured with a Low stock threshold, it is listed when its quantity falls below that threshold.
- If the item has units configured but no threshold, it is never listed.
- If the item has no units configured, it is listed at 10 units or fewer.
When several locations are selected, an item's quantities are added together before the check.
Dead Stock
Items that are in stock but had no sale in the last 30, 60 or 90 days. Choose the window with the selector inside the Dead Stock card; it starts on 90 days. The window counts whole days back from today.
- Each variant is judged on its own. A variant that has not sold is dead stock even if another variant of the same item has sold.
- Fully refunded and deleted invoices do not count as sales.
- When several locations are selected, an item is only listed if it is unsold at every selected location that holds it.
The table shows the quantity on hand and its value, so you can see how much money is tied up.
Stock on Hand
Every item in stock, ranked by value, with quantity, average cost and value.
CSV export
The export header shows the dead stock window (for example, last 90 days) in place of a report period, because all other figures are as of now.
