Customer Groups - Report
Customers grouped as Active, At-risk or Dormant by how recently they bought.
The Customer Groups report sorts your customers by how recently they last bought from you, so you can see who is loyal and who is drifting away.
For the location selector, date range and CSV export, see Reports. This report opens on the last 3 months.
The three groups
| Group | Last purchase |
|---|---|
| Active | Within 30 days |
| At-risk | 31 to 90 days ago |
| Dormant | More than 90 days ago |
NOTE
The days are counted back from the end of the selected range, not from today. If you look at January to March, a customer who last bought in late March is Active for that range, even if you open the report in September.
Only customers who bought something within the selected range are listed. To find Dormant customers, choose a range longer than 90 days.
How spending is counted
- A customer's total is the sum of their invoices in the range, after discounts.
- Invoices that were fully refunded, and deleted invoices, are left out.
- When several locations are selected, a customer's purchases at all of them are added together and their most recent purchase is used.
Summary cards
Total Customers, then one card each for Active, At-risk and Dormant. Each group card shows the number of customers and that group's share of revenue.
Charts
- Segment Distribution: how many customers fall in each group.
- Revenue by Segment: how much each group spent.
