Reports

What each report shows, and the controls every report shares.

Reports turn your sales, expenses and stock into figures you can read at a glance and download.

To open them: go to the Dashboard and switch to the Reports tab. Pick a report from the list on the left.

NOTE

The Dashboard and its reports are only available to users who have permission to view financial data.

The reports

Financials

  • Cash Flow: money that came in and went out, with a running balance.
  • Profit & Loss: revenue against the cost of the goods sold, and net profit.
  • Expense: what you spent, by category and by day.

Sales & Customers

Inventory

  • Item Damage Tracking: stock written off and customer returns that came back damaged.
  • Stock Report: what is on hand right now, low stock and dead stock.
  • Stock Trace: every movement of one item, with a running balance.

Locations

The location selector at the top right of the Dashboard applies to every report. Figures combine all the locations you have selected. If no location is selected, the report asks you to select at least one.

Date range

Every report except the Stock Report has a date picker at the top right. The Stock Trace has one too, but leaves it empty by default and shows the item's whole history.

  • A range covers whole days: from the start of the first day to the end of the last day. Picking a single day shows everything recorded on that day.
  • If you clear the range, the report shows Choose a date range until you pick a new one.

Most reports open on the last month. Customer Groups opens on the last 3 months and Item Damage Tracking on the last year.

Export as CSV

Every report has an Export as CSV button: the download icon next to the date picker.

The file contains what is on screen for the locations you have selected:

  1. A header block with the report name, business, locations, period and the time the file was generated.
  2. Each section of the report in turn: totals, the data behind each chart, and the tables.

Amounts are written as plain numbers, without currency symbols or thousands separators, so you can sum them in Excel or Google Sheets. The file opens correctly in Excel.

If there is nothing to export for the current selection, you see Nothing to export for this selection and no file is downloaded.
